Malik Newman, Kansas
The tournament’s most valuable player sizzled with 72 points (24.0 average), the most ever by a KU player in the Big 12 Tournament. Paul Pierce had 67 points in the 1997 inaugural event. Newman made 15 of 22 three-pointers, matching the second-most by a player in the tournament.
Devonte' Graham, Kansas
The Big 12's most valuable player came alive in the championship game. His 13 assists set a title-game record and marked a personal best. He has 60 assists in the tournament's history, which ties former Kansas point guard Aaron Miles for the all-time lead. Graham averaged 14.3 points and 10 assists in the tournament.
Jevon Carter, West Virginia
Carter averaged 17.3 points and eight assists in the tournament. He came up huge in the semifinal victory over Texas Tech, knocking down three straight three-pointers to change the momentum of the game. This was Carter’s second straight year on the all-tournament team.
Daxter Miles Jr., West Virginia
His 15 three pointers matched Newman for the second most by a player in the tournament. Miles averaged 22 points and did his best to keep the Mountaineers in the second half of the championship game when he scored 17 of his 25 points.
Makol Mawien, Kansas State
The first Kansas State player to make the all-tournament team since 2013, Mawien was a revelation in the tournament. He scored 29 points, more than doubling his career high, in the semifinal loss to Kansas, after going for 16 points and nine rebounds in the quarterfinal victory over TCU.
