Grade: C+
The problem was not quality but quantity. Kolby Smith and Jamaal Charles had 53 yards, but only 10 carries.
Passing offense
Grade: B
The passing game showed up late, which is better than never. But a few plays early in the game would have made a difference.
Rushing defense
Grade: C-
The Chiefs — and particularly Mike Brown — were sloppy on Jacksonville’s first touchdown. Otherwise, they were solid against a determined opponent.
Passing defense
Grade: F
Mike Sims-Walker isn’t nearly as good if some defender covers him.
Special teams
Grade: C-
The punt-return coverage was finally gouged, but Ryan Succop and Dustin Colquitt continued to kick well.
Coaching
Grade: F
Jacksonville did some things on defense that appeared to catch the Chiefs unaware. The Chiefs went away from their running game way too early.
