Bob Lutz: Can (and will) Missouri dig deep enough to get Gregg Marshall?

I wrote earlier this week that if the Missouri basketball job came open (which it has), the Tigers would definitely have interest in Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall (duh) and that the Mizzou job might be a fit. I figured Haith would have stayed one more season in Columbia, get fired, and then the Tigers would pursue Marshall.

Point guard Devonte Graham to visit KU on Friday

In its ongoing search for additional options in the backcourt, Kansas will play host this weekend to Devonte Graham, one of the top available point guards in the 2014 class. Graham, a 6-foot-2 guard from Brewster Academy, will take an official visit to KU starting on Friday, his prep school coach, Jason Smith, announced on Twitter. Kansas coach Bill Self visited Graham on Friday.

KU defense looks to make its mark

One year after unveiling a retooled and inexperienced defense, the Jayhawks now feature one of the most veteran units in the Big 12. Kansas is slated to return nine starters on defense, including six seniors and its entire secondary.

Joel Embiid’s freshman season at Kansas was cut short because of a back injury. His basketball career at KU was cut short by his enormous potential. With Jayhawks coach Bill Self by his side, Embiid announced Wednesday at a news conference that he’ll enter the NBA Draft, closing his college career after 28 games.
