        On Feb. 13, 2002, physician Nancy Coates addressed the Mission City Council and stated, &amp;ldquo;Cigarette smoke is a public health issue and a Class A carcinogen just as asbestos is. It is also an employee/workplace issue, a concern in the protection of minors, and an Americans with Disabilities issue, particularly if respiratory patients find themselves in a hostile (smoking) environment. I would like to see the City of Mission as the first city in Kansas to ban cigarette smoking in public places.&amp;rdquo;...

        On Aug. 7 at 9:20 a.m., Overland Park Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Bank of The West inside the Hy Vee grocery store at 8900 W. 135th St. When officers arrived they determined that a bank teller was approached by a man who showed her a robbery note.
