Story on family displaced by fire missing donation info

When tragedy strikes a Kansas City area family, readers want to know how to help. The print edition was missing crucial info in a report on a fire that has left the family of Kansas City Police Department veteran Matt Hannah without a place to live.

“I’m looking for an address or a phone number to help out this family who lost their house, but if you put it in the paper, you’re hiding it.”

That’s the first message I heard today, from a reader who was reading the print edition’s coverage of a terrible fire that has left the family of Kansas City Police Department veteran Matt Hannah, his wife and their nine children without a place to live.

That information is in a version of the story that ran online.

It really should have been in the print edition as well.
