Kathleen Parker’s column will return

The popular Washington Post pundit has been missing lately. But she hasn’t been dropped by The Star.

I have fielded many questions about why The Star’s Opinion section hasn’t been carrying regular commentaries by Kathleen Parker lately.

Parker is one of the pundits about whose work I hear more praise than condemnation — a real rarity in my role. And readers who fall on the right politically often feel that opinions like hers are under-represented in the section. They don’t want to lose another moderate to conservative voice.

There’s some bad and some good news for her fans. Parker unfortunately sustained injuries in a fall several weeks ago, and isn’t currently writing as she recuperates.

However, she will return to The Star once she’s better. The current plan is for her column to run on the op/ed page on Thursdays.
