What we can do for the kidnapped Nigerian girls

American citizens can urge their representatives and senators to pass the International Violence Against Women Act. The act would make responding to gender-based violence a priority in all U.S. government programming overseas. Had the law been in place, it would have aided in pressuring the Nigerian government to act even sooner against Boko Haram.
