Restaurant chains have to constantly reinvent themselves to appeal to the changing appetites of their customers.
It took Burger King 40 years, but the notion of reinvention finally took hold. The hamburger chain is ending its 40-year-old slogan — “Have It Your Way” in favor of “Be Your Way.” The more personal marketing campaign will headline TV commercials starting this week, The Associated Press reports.
The company notes that it’s to remind people “they can and should live how they want anytime. It’s OK to not be perfect....”
So go ahead and have that calorie-heavy burger and fries instead of following the guilt-driven, heart-healthy-trend of eating light and right. The company based in Miami also stopped using its more recent motto, “Taste Is King.”
Perhaps the indulge yourself marketing is the new trend among junk and fast foods.
