Fitness center a good fit for Kansas City downtown

The addition of a fitness center should add to the attraction of downtown Kansas City for young adults.

A full-service fitness center in the Power & Light District downtown will likely attract the same young hard bodies that the rooftop Jones Pool already does and in the same building.

The fitness center will be above the Cosentino’s Downtown Market at 13th and Main streets, The Kansas City Star reports. The $5 million, 33,000-square-foot, full-service facility is expected to open in the summer.

By then the Jones Pool will be going strong, attracting athletic-looking young people and those who want to be to the waist-deep water, sunbathing areas and bars. The addition of Onelife Fitness is a perfect fit for downtown, which appeals to young single adults.
