The Labor Department on Friday reported that joblessness for November was 7 percent, a five-year low for the nation. Unemployment was 7.3 percent in October, up from 7.2 percent in September.
The country appears to have shaken off the federal shutdown blues, adding 203,000 jobs in November. That should light up the Christmas shopping season like the glowing lights of a holiday tree.
