Burger King beefs up its low-calorie menu

One of these days, fast-food restaurants will shrug, accept their high calorie content and just be what they really are. Until that day, the burger, taco, fried chicken and other joints will continue to advertise their low-calorie menu options to try to lure diet conscious folks into their doors and drive-through lanes.

Burger King is the latest to try to lure people who want to stay slim. It is offering folks low calorie french fries now.

The “Satisfries” are supposed to have a crinkle cut. A small order has 270 calories because of a new batter that resists absorbing a lot of cooking oil.

The regular fries give customers 340 calories. How about a Whopper with that?
