Just in time for those summer vacation road trip vacations, gasoline prices are starting to decline.

In the Kansas City area regular had climbed to about $3.70 a gallon. Analysts now expect that mysterious Memorial Day rise to come back down.

Let’s not say back to normal. None of this is normal.

But analysts say a refinery being back online and another set with a major redo should improve supplies, which should affect prices at the pump. Already in Kansas City unleaded regular is going for about $3.49 a gallon.

That will help families on vacation keep a few extra dollars in their pockets for entertainment while they’re out.
