GOP proposes to keep Guantanamo prison open

House Republicans want to keep the detention facility at Guantanamo open despite President Obama’s plans to close it. Republicans have proposed keeping Guantanamo open to prevent Obama from transferring its 166 terror suspects to prisons in the U.S. or other countries.
