The common folk can only watch and drool as United Airlines upgrades its first-class food offerings.
Instead of snacks, it will provide the top-flight travelers with full meals on some trips. Those first-class folks on flights of at least 800 miles will get meals of chicken and mozzarella on a tomato focaccia roll or turkey and Swiss cheese on a cranberry baguette instead of potato chips or cookies.
What’s fascinating is air travelers 30 years ago could expect to be fed full meals regardless of where they sat on a plane. Times certainly have changed in America.
But to get that yesteryear, commercial flight experience, go to China and fly any of those airlines. What a dream.
