Zoo admission, hours information

The Helzberg Penguin Plaza opens for Friends of the Zoo members at 8:30 a.m. Friday through Sunday and for the general public at 9:30 a.m.

The zoo will open early, at 8 a.m., Friday through Sunday, for Friends of the Zoo members.

Admission for Jackson and Clay county residents is $5 adults, $4.50 seniors, $4 children 3-11.

Regular admission is $11.50 adults, $10.50 seniors, $8.50 children.

The Kansas City Zoo is located in the heart of historic Swope Park at 6800 Zoo Drive.

Admission for Friends of the Zoo members is free.

FOTZ members will have exclusive entry to the penguin exhibit from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 8-9:30 a.m. Nov. 2 with a free morning snack.
