The Buzz: Clinton hopes hecklers paid for fundraiser

Pay double and you can interrupt again

Before Hillary Clinton could speak at a big Washington fundraiser, protesters interrupted, yelling about her promise to “obliterate” Iran if it nuked Israel.

As they were dragged out, an unfazed Clinton said:

“I hope they paid to come.”

Don’t ask about Super Tuesday — it was messy

Large road maps adorn the restroom walls at Barack Obama’s Chicago HQ. As per custom, West Virginia, next on the schedule, has prime position above the urinals.

Don’t diss on W. Va!

There’s happiness in them thar hollers for Clinton. The state is only 3.3 percent black, largely rural, proudly blue-collar, with only 16.5 percent having B.A. degrees and a median age four years over the nation’s.

Icebergs aren’t cheap

About Jenna Bush’s wedding this weekend at the Crawford ranch, David Letterman adds:

“And this is no surprise: The $2 billion ice sculpture contract went to Halliburton.”

Cue the wife for the stand-by-the-man shot!

Tripped up by his drunken-driving arrest last week, GOP Rep. Vito Fossella from Staten Island confessed an extramarital affair with the Virginia woman who bailed him out of jail and said he fathered her young daughter.

Fresh from tinseltown

•Oliver Stone denies rumors that Robert Duvall turned down the VP Cheney role in his dark and comic biopic “W.”

•Elizabeth Banks on portraying Laura Bush: “I don’t want to do an impression. I just want to honor her voice, her stillness and her hairstyle.”

•The movie premieres late this year — before Bush leaves office.

That neXt chromosome

“I think Hillary Clinton is like the woman I’m married to, that she’ll always say there’s a better parking space up further on. … Don’t take No. 2 if you can get No. 1.” — MSNBC’s Chris Matthews

Money talks

Did you make John McCain’s $100,000-a-bundler funder at New York Jets owner Woody Johnson’s place? If you had, you’d have schmoozed with Carl Icahn, Yankees President Randy Levine, Bill and David Koch, and “The Donald,” to name a few.

We believe you

“Senator Clinton has had worse days.” — Howard Wolfson, her chief spokesman.
