Closing of KCK abortion clinic is a sign of the times

Aid for Women closed its doors July 25, leaving Kansas with three remaining abortion clinics. It was the latest in a series of closings nationwide in an ever-changing climate for abortion providers. Some closings are the result of tough new legislative restrictions. Some groups say they are convincing women not to have abortions. But there is also evidence of a reduced demand because of more effective birth control.
