The city of Olathe recently filed an eminent-domain lawsuit, which included the 7-Eleven and Sonic Drive-In just north of Dennis Ave. along Kansas Highway 7, to secure some of the property needed for a $5.7 million project to widen K-7 and add a landscaped median along with some turn lanes between Santa Fe Street, to the north, and Old 56 Highway to the south.
