      SCHOOLS & YOUTH: Comcast awards scholarships of $1,000 to seniors

      Four Olathe area seniors are among 14 in the Kansas City area who are receiving $1,000 college scholarships from the Comcast Foundation. The 2008 Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership skills, academic achievement and a commitment to community service.

The 20th annual ten-day ride from Los Angeles to Washington D.C. honors veterans and calls attention to POWs.
