NKC students, teachers embrace ‘netbooks’

The backpacks of North Kansas City high school students are getting lighter. Instead of lugging their textbooks to each class, the high school students will be able to carry “netbooks”—small laptop computers equipped with online versions of their textbooks, other educational resources and an application where students can complete homework and take online quizzes.
