Donald Trump had a good day Thursday, locking down the Republican presidential nomination.
Like any red-blooded, All-American patriot he celebrated with a McDonald’s meal.
(What, no taco bowl?)
Trump posted a picture of his celebratory lunch on Instagram.
The Gateway Pundit compared the moment to when President Reagan ate at a McDonald’s in 1984, standing in line to order a Big Mac, large fries and sweet tea.
Unlike Reagan, Trump chowed down on French fries on his private jet.
But did he really touch the food, wondered the food blog, Eater?
“In front of him is a bottle of Diet Coke, a McDonald's Big Mac - untouched and still in its box - four Heinz ketchup packets atop a paper plate, and several paper napkins,” notes the blog.
“In his right hand is a box of McDonald's French fries; his left hand appears to be reaching into the box. Of note: He is not actually touching any food with his hands.”
He likely did.
Earlier this year Trump confessed to CNN’s Anderson Cooper his taste for McDonald’s Big Macs and Quarter Pounders with cheese.
“It's great stuff,” he said.
The Internet quickly trumped the candidate with a full-on Photoshop battle on Reddit.
