To mark the 50th anniversary of its iconic Big Mac, McDonald’s is giving away a custom piece of bling: a diamond-studded ring that looks like the burger.
This is not a joke.
The “Bling Mac” is an 18-karat gold stackable ring with seven individual tiers that represent each layer of ingredients.
You know, the “two all-beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame seed bun.”

Only instead of pickles, the ring is studded with champagne diamonds, orange sapphires and “other diamonds and sapphires.”

Between now and Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, tweet your love of Bic Macs to @McDonald’s. The ring goes to the most “witty, comedic, and romantic tweet,” the company says.
People have already started to enter. “What smell, through yonder drive-thru breaks? It is the meat, and secret sauce is the best,” begins one tweet.
McDonald’s wanted to celebrate the three sizes of the burger — Grand Big Mac, Big Mac and Mac Jr. — and chose designer Nadine Ghosn, known for her eye-catching designs, to create a piece of jewelry, a company spokesperson told the Today Show.
Beyonce, Karl Lagerfeld, Pink and other celebrities have been seen wearing Ghosn’s designs.
She’s designed fine jewelry that looks like food in her “On a Roll” line, including charms that look like tuna sushi, soy sauce earcuffs and edamame earrings.
The “Bling Mac” was inspired by Ghosn’s $8,800 “Hamburger” ring, one of her favorite pieces, made of 18-karat rose, white and yellow gold with rubies, sapphires and diamonds. Each layer can be worn separately.
She “super-sized” it to create the “Bling Mac,” which will be custom-made for the winner.
Worth $12,500, it’s no value meal.
