These are brighter days for President Barack Obama.
A new Washington Post-ABC News poll has his job approval back at 50 percent, a benchmark number for American presidents.
The 50 percent score is Obama’s best mark in the Post-ABC surveys since May 2013.
Why? The U.S. economy, for sure. All this is another reminder of just how closely tied economic performance and presidential approval remain.
Never miss a local story.
The presidential bump appears to be coming from Democrats, Hispanics, moderates and 18-29 year olds.
