Wolf making final campaign push

Republican Milton Wolf has launched an ambitious 46-stop tour of Kansas in his bid to upset three-term incumbent Sen. Pat Roberts in the Aug. 5 primary.
Wolf’s “Save the Republic” bus tour, which launched on Saturday in Overland Park, will take him to all corners of the state before it comes to an end on Aug. 2, just three days before the primary.
The tour clearly is intended to address one of the big issues Wolf’s campaign faces, which is that Kansans don’t know him — and haven’t even met him.
It’s that familiarity that continues to give Roberts a big leg up as the primary campaign hits the home stretch.
Wolf’s tour is scheduled to end with an Aug. 2 rally in Overland Park. More details of that event have not been released.
