Former Sen. Bob Dole of Kansas isn’t much of a fan of Sen. Ted Cruz, a presidential candidate.
In a story on Politico, posted after an appearance on MSNBC, Dole is quoted as saying he might sleep in on Election Day if Cruz is the nominee.
“He used to make these speeches — ‘Remember President Dole? Do you remember President McCain?’ The inference was that we were all a bunch of liberals, and only he is a true conservative,” the Kansas Republican and 1996 presidential candidate said.
“And he uses the word ‘conservative’ in — more than he ever uses the word ‘Republican,’ the party. So, it would be — it would be difficult.”
Dole isn’t a Donald Trump supporter, either.
