Leroy Towns, a spokesman for Sen. Pat Roberts

, tweets: state board finds “objections to Sen. Pat Roberts’ KS residency claim ‘without merit.’”

It’s true

All the members of the State Objections Board have endorsed Roberts. It appears all three members —

Kris Kobach, Jeff Colyer, and Derek Schmidt

— send replacements to actually hear the case.

“The unelected board made a verbal ruling that the complaints had an ‘insufficient legal basis,’” said a statement from the campaign of Roberts’ opponent,

Milton Wolf.

The statement adds:

“It’s disappointing that the board didn’t reach the same conclusion that tens of thousands of ordinary Kansans already have. Pat Roberts has been in Washington for 47 years, and he doesn’t live in Kansas.”
