We were just curious.

Would any office-holder or interest group send out a news release on the birthday of the King of Kings?

Well, just one did:

Kansas Congressman Kevin Yoder.

The Overland Park Republican sent out his e-mail blast at 10:21 a.m., just as thousands of children in his district were unwrapping their presents.

Yoder’s yuletide missive include a picture (pretty adorable, if we may say so) of his baby daughter, Caroline.

He acknowledged the military and urged residents to be safe.

“We also hope if you traveled long distances to be with your family for Christmas, that you may have safe travels returning back home,” he wrote.

And he did it all on Christmas Day, the only pol to reach out on the national holiday.
