Another U.S. Supreme Court ruling on campaign spending, and this one could be a doozy.

In the pipeline,

Jeff Toobin of The New Yorker points out,

is a case that could result in the wiping away of all campaign contribution limits.

Today, federal limits stand at $2,600 to any one candidate during a campaign cycle. But that could become history, based on a new case before the court and the court’s own recent history on this subject.
