Thinking about a run for Congress in Kansas’ 3rd District?

Well, think again. If you do venture out on the campaign trail, eventually you are going to face this reality:

$1.5 million.

That’s how much campaign juice second-term representative Kevin Yoder, a Republican, has in the bank right now.

$1.5 million.

For the record, that’s an all-time record for any candidate in 3rd District history. No one’s ever had that much jack in the bank to fund a congressional campaign there.

Yoder had another big haul in the second quarter — a reported $300K.

He’s on pace for more than $2 million cash on hand by year’s end. That should set him up quite nicely for re-election next year.
