An email that appears to come from Gov. Jay Nixon’s

office may offer clues about Wednesday’s likely veto of a major tax cut bill.

“You may want to have someone from your organization attend one of these meetings,” says the email from the governor’s office of communications, referring to Nixon’s plans to announce his tax cut decision in KC and Springfield Wednesday.

The email was provided to the Buzz.

The message was sent to labor and health groups, the

Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, the Civic Council, retail grocers, an immigration reform group ( Missouri Immigrant and Refugee Advocates), Progress Missouri, the Missouri Budget Project, and Pro-Vote

, among others.

All would be expected to oppose the tax cut bill passed by the Republican legislature.

Nixon has been critical of the measure in the past.
