Another day, another dollar.
A lot of dollars, in fact — $45,000 of them every day the Legislature meets.
The House and Senate have adjourned for the day. The right honorables still haven’t passed a budget. They still haven’t settled the sales tax issue.
For the record, the House was in session Wednesday for a grand total of 11 minutes. The Senate? Five minutes.
This is now getting serious. A session forecast to last 80 days is now heading into Day 97.
Kansans are taking note. If, by chance, this baby slops over into next week, more than a few Kansans will start brandishing pitchforks.
