Go ahead and shake your head in disbelief. But yes, a new poll is out in Iowa — for 2016 —

and I’m writing about it.

It’s politics. It’s polls. It’s horse race. And we hear at The Buzz love it all.

Onto the numbers:

The poll,

from Quinnipiac University, shows Democrat Hillary Clinton beating two leading GOP senators, Marco Rubio of Florida and Rand Paul of Kentucky.

But considering Clinton’s name ID, her lead is hardly overwhelming.

She tops Rubio in Iowa by 48-37 percent and Paul by 46-42 percent.

Paul leads among that crucial bloc of independents by 44-38 percent. The gender gap is in full display, too. Paul leads among men 49-39 percent over Clinton while Clinton leads big among women over Paul 53-34 percent.

Rubio and Paul were the only GOPers tested.

Vice President Joe Biden doesn’t fare as well against either Republican.
