We’ll get the big briefing Thursday from the Aviation Dept. and its consultants about what we might call KCI’s Holy Trinity Terminal: you know, three into one.
Below the radar: Expect the report to show a higher cost than many expect, and a plan to ask locals to fund almost all of the cost. The feds, we’re told, aren’t very interested.
You’ll also hear a grumble or two from other PR firms about Global Prairie’s $117K contract to promote the HTT. They bid on the contract but never interviewed, leading them to conclude Mark VanLoh knew who he wanted from the start.
The contract wasn’t subject to City Council approval.
But get used to outsiders helping prop up the city’s image.
The Global hire is “part of a broader initiative that the Mayor and City Council have prioritized in order to better communicate with the city’s citizens on several fronts,” councilman Russ Johnson told me in an email last week.
