Donald Trump’s lead in Kansas remains virtually unchanged in the last five weeks, a new poll says.
Five weeks ago, Trump led Hillary Clinton by 12 points. The latest survey determined that he leads by 11.
A lot has happened in that span, but the developments haven’t undermined Trump in the reliably red state.
Trump leads Clinton by 47-36 percent, according to the SurveyUSA poll. Libertarian Gary Johnson was at 7 percent, and Green Party contender Jill Stein was at 2 percent.
Early voting in Kansas is underway.
In other findings, President Barack Obama was viewed extremely favorably in Kansas by 19 percent and extremely unfavorably by 42 percent.
Gov. Sam Brownback’s comparable numbers: 5 percent and 49 percent, suggesting his poll numbers in the state he leads are worse than Obama’s.
