Kansas City police arrested a man, suspected in a shooting hours before, early Friday after he initially went inside a residence and refused to surrender.
Officers were alerted around 2 a.m. Friday that a man suspected in a shooting that occurred Thursday evening was inside a residence in the 7300 block of Agnes Avenue. The man initially refused police demands to leave the home.
According to police, two men got in an argument at a residence in the 5500 block of Garfield Avenue late Thursday. After the argument, one man got into a vehicle and fired a single gunshot at the person he had been arguing with. The shot struck the man in the leg, and he was taken to a hospital with an injury not considered to be life-threatening. His condition was not available Friday morning.
The gunman then allegedly drove to the residence on Agnes Avenue, police said.
