A 23-year-old Gladstone man has been cited in Kansas City Municipal Court for impersonating a police officer and for careless driving when he allegedly tried to pull over a female motorist.
Adam John Josef Schenk, who is a trainee in the Kansas City Police Department communications unit, was arrested after the incident Saturday evening at Missouri 152 and Indiana Avenue.
According to the citation, Schenk allegedly activated emergency equipment on the vehicle he was driving, changed lanes and cut off the female motorist in an attempt to pull her over.
The driver took pictures of Schenk with her cellphone. Schenk sped off and ran a red traffic light to get away from her, according to Municipal Court records.
