A Kansas City man has been charged with murder in the July 16 shooting of a 20-year-old man in Lee’s Summit.
Jackson County prosecutors charged Terrell A. Ingram, 20, with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Ingram is accused of killing Malik Barbour, of Kansas City, outside a house party in the 1500 block of Southeast Long Place.
Police were called to the party about 2:30 a.m. They found Barbour on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to court records, a witness told police Barbour and Ingram were arguing outside the house when Ingram shot Barbour. The witness said Ingram initially shot at Barbour as many as six times, then paused and approached Barbour before firing two more shots.
On Friday, Ingram was in the custody of Lee’s Summit police.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $250,000.
