A gunman late Sunday held up workers of a restaurant in the Power & Light District and made off with money from the cash register and other personal items.
The robbery was reported about 10:30 p.m. at BRGR Kitchen + Bar on East 14th Street. The restaurant was closed for the evening when an employee told police the gunman approached as he was taking to trash to the dumpster in a hallway shared with other businesses.
The robber forced the worker back into the business, took several items from him, and then put him into the walk-in freezer. Two other employees walked up, and the gunman stole items from them and put the two into the walk-in freezer.
The gunman then walked behind the bar area and approached the manager from behind, put a gun up to his head and ordered him to remove money from the cash register. He then put the manager into the walk-in freezer.
Never miss a local story.
The robber ran away in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported. Police had no suspect information.
