Kansas City police arrested a suspected robber late Sunday in the 2100 block of Harrison Avenue after a caller whispered the address to a police dispatcher during the break-in.
Police received the emergency call just before 10 p.m. Arriving officers saw the robber trying to flee feet-first out of a window on the south side of the building. Police quickly set up a perimeter because a barbed-wire fence surrounded the building.
At one point, the robber tried to sneak through a hole in the fence but quickly retreated back inside the fenced area when he saw the officers waiting for him.
A police K-9 was summoned and found a person hiding in some tall weeds nearby. The person was arrested and treated for a minor dog bite.
