A 36-year-old mother and her teenage daughter were robbed at gunpoint late Sunday after they arrived home from a convenience store.
The incident was reported to police about 11 p.m. in the 1600 block of Oakley Avenue. The two pulled into a driveway and walked onto the front porch when two men emerged from behind their home and held them up at gunpoint.
When the mother became reluctant to cooperate, one of the robbers grabbed the 16-year-old girl’s hair, pointed a silver pistol at the teen’s head and threatened to shoot her.
The mother and daughter handed over a small amount of cash. One of the robbers punched the girl in the face, and the robbers ran away.
No injuries were reported. Police did not have a detailed description of the robbers.
