A 19-year-old Overland Park man pleaded guilty Wednesday to the attempted murder of a Merriam convenience store clerk who was shot in the face during a robbery.
Javon D. Mills pleaded guilty in Johnson County District Court to attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.
The robbery and shooting occurred last September at a 7-Eleven in the 6800 block of Antioch Road.
The clerk was seriously injured in the shooting but is recovering.
