Kansas City police conducted a sobriety checkpoint until the early morning hours Saturday and stopped more than 600 vehicles.
Officers arrested nine people on suspected driving under the influence. Of the 628 vehicles stopped, two motorists were ticketed for driving under a suspended or revoked license.
One person was arrested on a drug violation and one for resisting arrest. Another driver was arrested for an interlock ignition violation.
The police worked with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, stopping vehicles from 11 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday at 13915 E. Missouri 350.
