Two brothers have been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder of a 21-year-old Kansas City man shot to death last year near 62nd Street and Agnes Avenue.
Shyreif Carter, 19, pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder, attempted robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. His brother Teandre Carter, 21, had pleaded guilty earlier this month to the same charges, as well as receiving stolen property.
The victim, Shawndray Key, was found fatally shot inside a vehicle on April 9 last year.
Shyreif Carter later told police he and his brother were going to rob Key of drugs and a gun, according to court records.
