Five members of a Sedalia street gang have been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking.
Federal prosecutors in Kansas City said the sentences handed down Monday were the culmination of a two-year investigation into the criminal activities of the group, which was responsible for distributing more than $1 million worth of cocaine.
Kenneth C. Kendrick, 43, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison. Eric T. Hawkins, 35, was sentenced to eight years. George E. Buckner, 53, and Ronald C. Boggs, 49, were both sentenced to seven years. Kardell E. Sims, 37, received a sentence of four years and nine months.
All five pleaded guilty to participating in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine from Oct. 5, 2011, to July 2, 2013.
