A 74-year-old transport van driver admitted Friday that he had mistreated a young woman with special needs in Olathe.
Terry Mize Curry of Kansas City pleaded guilty in Johnson County District Court to a felony of mistreatment of a dependent adult.
Prosecutors initially charged Curry with aggravated sexual battery, but the charge was amended at Friday’s court hearing.
The 20-year-old victim was a participant in a program for young adults with special needs operated by the Olathe school district.

Curry drove for the company contracted with the school district to provide transportation.
The September 2014 incident was captured on surveillance video, according to court documents.
On the video, Curry can be seen kissing and touching the woman. He can be heard telling her that if anyone found out, he would lose his job, she would be taken out of the program and her parents could have him arrested, according to the documents.
Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 30.
