A suspect in a robbery and shooting at a Harrisonville convenience store on Tuesday has been arrested, according to police.
Harrisonville police circulated photos of a suspect shortly after the robbery occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of East Mechanic Street. A clerk was shot in the back during the robbery.
About an hour later, police announced an arrest. Police had posted photos of a suspect on Facebook and within minutes received a tip from a clerk at another convenience store.
The injured clerk was transported by air ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. He went into surgery in critical condition.
The suspect was held at the Cass County jail and had not yet been charged Tuesday night.
