Man killed in KC shooting
A man in his mid-20s was found shot and lying on a sidewalk near 34th Street and Central Avenue about 4:30 p.m. Thursday and was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
Witnesses said two men ran from the scene immediately after the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
It was the 60th recorded homicide in Kansas City this year, compared to 86 at this time last year.
