A stabbing inside a Mi Ranchito restaurant in Olathe left one person injured on Tuesday.
The incident occurred near 119th St and Greenwood at about 5:40 p.m. Sgt. Logan Bonney, an Olathe police spokesman, said the victim suffered minor injuries.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene, police said.
Two women working at the time said the suspect is the husband of a former employee. It isn’t clear why the woman no longer works for the restaurant.

“Officers learned that an adult male entered the business and got into a disturbance with an employee,” Bonney said. “The employee was stabbed during the altercation.”
The suspect, according to one of the women who asked not to be named due to fear, came in and asked to see a manager. He told the manager, “Hey, I need some cleaning materials.”
At one point the suspect, who was armed with a knife, tried to stab the manager. It isn’t clear who was stabbed.
During the commotion, the workers said about 100 people were inside for the restaurant’s busy “Taco Tuesday” special.
Customers and others working inside were worried the man would injure more people before he was arrested.
“He was trying to hurt anyone in his way,” the second woman said, who also said she was too fearful to give her name. “It was crazy.”
