A former Manhattan city attorney pleaded guilty Thursday to federal child pornography charges.
Bill D. Raymond, 55, of Andover, Kan., pleaded guilty in federal court to three counts of transporting child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.
Raymond served as city attorney from 2012 until 2015 when he was charged. He previously served as an assistant county counselor in Sedgwick County, Kan.
In Thursday’s plea, Raymond admitted that he possessed child pornography in July 2015 and admitted that he used a cell phone and computer to email child pornography to himself on three occasions in 2014 and 2015.
Sentencing for Raymond is scheduled for Nov. 6.
