Kansas City police arrested an armed suspect following a shooting late Tuesday in south Kansas City.
Officers were called to the 10100 block of Belmont Avenue just before midnight on a reported shooting. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim said that he got into an argument with two other people, one of whom tried to stab him. He said the other assailant then shot him.
Emergency crews took the man to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. Police later arrested one of the assailants.
Details of what prompted the incident were not immediately available. The other assailant remains at large.
